let’s go, it’s the person who held on that gets hurt. And the longer you stretch it, the
more it hurts when one person lets go.” – Anonymous
I gasped for air as I realized that I was day dreaming about Camellia again.
Emptiness surrounds me as I got up from my bed. It has been 64 days since she left me
for some guy with toned abs and a bigger bicep than his own brain. I told myself I
should move on but I walked out of my house feeling duller than ever. Unexpectedly,
the kid from across the street must have mistaken me for someone who had subscribed
to the Daily News. She said in a blissful voice “Hey mister, the jokes today are very
funny today, and you might want to tie your hair up today because it’s gonna get hot in
the afternoon”. She gave me a spontaneous wink and went on cheerfully.
What she said was really true. I felt the heat almost instantly as if she used a
very HUGE hairdryer and tried to blow dry my hair but instead, my whole body. I moved
my thumb a little and played with the rubber band wrapped around the newspaper. A
glimpse of her arms around my waist suddenly popped in as I starred at the rubber
band. I dragged the rubber band across the newspaper’s body and it got twisted all over
and it actually resembles thread up close. I stuffed the rubber band into my pocket and
walked back into my room to have a glance at the newspaper before I get to work.
I searched for the joke columns straight away as I felt that it could give me a
chuckle or two to make my day. Seems like the kid was right again, I had a great laugh!
I could feel my abdominal muscles getting all tensed up until it hurt so much, but it was
definitely worth it. A few drops of sweat slides through my face as I looked down. I

3. guess I was mad as I took out the rubber band from my pocket, I asked her “Do you feel
hot my friend?” Oh yeah, I named the rubber band Sharon by the way. Sharon told me
that she was fine, I touched a bit her body and it was neither hot nor cold. Her
temperature wasn’t affected by the hot day.
I fondled Sharon for quite a while because I love the complexion of her skin. It’s
very smooth and firm. She felt insecure as I stared at her nude orange body. She said
that her body has some defects, its uneven and full bumps. I replied “Sharon, you are
perfect just the way you are right now”. She smiled at me and told me she wants to sing
to me. I stretched Sharon beside my ears and caressed her gently. It was as if she was
singing to me with a guitar because I can hear each strum oh so beautifully. I could also
hear the symphony of the Chinese orchestra as we sway into rhythm of her beautiful
voice.
I decided to skip work as I felt very relaxed and drowsy after Sharon’s mini
concert. I laid her light little body on my pillow, as i felt like dozing off again. Her scent
found its way into my nasal cavity. She smelt like a bag plastic balloons! It’s not a bad
thing because it made me visualize a bunch of kids playing happily in a field of green
and fresh grass in a meadow. And then Sharon and I would lie there snickering at the
cloud that resembles a donkey. Without realizing, I fell into deep slumber with an array
of emotions in my heart.
I woke up again, and I saw Sharon’s round and thinned body was still next to me.
She immediately told me she wants to show me her gymnastic side. From her round
body, she changed into a flat cylinder, then a uterus, a star, a Y, a Z, whatever you

4. could think of! The list is endless. Sharon’s body is without a doubt very flexible! I
chuckled a little because they said a flexible woman is the best woman. Although
flexible, Sharon’s body wouldn’t break no matter what shape she turned into. I watched
her transform into so many different shapes, I felt like I was watching Julia Günthel
(World’s most flexible woman) dancing with my fingers.
But nevertheless, I still had to say goodbye to Sharon somehow. I used the
absolutely sickest way a person could have ever imagined to part with their loved ones
– murder. I grabbed a pair of scissors and hid it inside my pocket, and then I threw
Sharon to the ground and I pulled her with my left arm while stepping on her with my left
foot. I could hear her screaming but I could also feel that her voice drifting away from
me. I snipped her in half with the scissors. PAK! She smacked me on the foot as she
degenerates and turns into a straight piece of rubber band.
I sent her dead body into the garbage bag and whispered “Goodbye, Sharon”.
