2. ADJECTIVE
An adjective is a part of speech that
modifies/describes a noun or a pronoun.
Single-word Adjectives may appear:
A. before the noun modified
We saw a bright, silver pole.
B. After the noun modified and set off by a pair of commas
Cumulus clouds, thick and grey, gathered, shifted and blended
like puff sails of immaterial ships upon an immaterial sea.
C. After the noun and pronoun modified (as a predicate adjective)
The multitude was hushed and still.
