Rimetea is one of the most beautiful villages in Transylvania, known for its anthropogenic heritage including a 13th century fortress and the oldest working water mill in the Apuseni Mountains from 1752. The village museum contains over 11,000 objects reflecting local occupations like mining and woodworking. Rimetea is a popular destination for climbing, paragliding, and hiking due to its steep slopes and cliffs.

2. Rimetea is one of the most beautiful villages in
Transylvania. Villagers here say that the sun rises
twice. The location is bordered by steep slopes,
which creates the impression that the sun rises in
the sky twice.

3. The village is best known for anthropogenic heritage, rich and varied
than natural heritage. Much of anthropogenic heritage is part of a
program of preservation and restoration of Transylvania Trust
Foundation.
Colţeşti stronghold, which was built in
XIII century, on a steep cliff, the
villagers to serve as a place of refuge
from the Tatar invasion.
The medieval fortress, located on
"Secuiului Stone" was still standing in
the second half of the XIX century, but
the beginning of XXI century are
observable only some remains.

4. Tourist spots :
- About 200 traditional secular buildings the oldest house in
the village is home u-odd miner, built in 1668, renovated after
2004
- The oldest working water mill in the Apuseni Mountains, 300
meters from the village center; built in 1752 by Klára Toroczkai
is still used occasionally by the locals.
- Traces of several iron mine (mine holes, beginning galleries)
family tombs carved into the rock, unique in Romania, used
from generation to generation.

5. Since the beginning of the XX century, locals gathered material
on its own initiative for an ethnographic museum. The museum
was opened in 1952. The collection of existing objects here,
including over 11,000 pieces collected in 5 rooms, reflecting the
occupations of the inhabitants in the area - mining, metallurgy
and woodworking.

6. Rimetea necessarily have to reach if you like
climbing and sports aviation. It is the ideal
destination for paragliding, off the road and
hiking.
