Pietroasele is a commune in Romania known for its vineyards and wine production. It is composed of six villages and became famous for the discovery of a treasure in 1837 of gold and precious stones. The area has a history of Dacian and Roman settlements, with ruins of a Roman fort and thermal baths discovered. Pietroasele produces sweet wines from grape varieties suited to the region's soil and climate conditions, including Busuioaca de Bohotin.
