This document summarizes the results of a usability test comparing the online t-shirt design websites Custom Ink and Spread Shirt. Ten common tasks were evaluated on both websites based on criteria of effectiveness, efficiency, engagement, error tolerance, and ease of learning. Overall, Custom Ink received higher ratings for providing more visual guidance, an organized step-by-step process, and features like design feedback that Spread Shirt lacked. However, Spread Shirt offered some advantages like additional options for uploading designs from Facebook. The test provides insights to help both websites further improve the user experience.

This slide deck is from the recent presentation Brian Sjoberg gave at the DC Scrum User Group on August 25, 2016. It is about User Stories and how to split them.
Do you want to write great User Stories (a.k.a. small features that are part of a product) that provide the vehicle for conversation and confirmation that we build the right thing? Do you struggle with splitting stories so that they still provide business value but can be accomplished within a fraction of your iteration and be potentially shippable to production? We will do a quick refresher on User Story formatting to include Acceptance Criteria. Additionally we will learn techniques for splitting stories in this interactive workshop.

Rapid Prototyping and Usability Testing - HUXPADerrick Bowen
Why don't people adopt the changes we design to benefit them? It is a function of 1) Team bias towards believing they know what end users will want, and; 2) An environment that requires teams to “protect” themselves by showing constant short-term progress. Collecting and utilizing early unbiased feedback will help you balance the effort vs. value equation for your users / customers, leading to quicker uptake.

Sometimes the changes we make - in good faith - can do more harm than good, within internal linking changes this can often be the case.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).

Retail media wordt gezien als het nieuwe advertising-medium en ook mediabureaus richten massaal retail media-afdelingen op. Merken die niet in de betreffende winkel liggen staan ook nog niet in de rij om op de retail media netwerken te adverteren. 3. INTRODUCTION
Custom Ink and Spread Shirt are two free online t-shirt design websites. This white paper
presents the results of a usability test that compared how well each website performed in five
component standards that define usability.
METHODOLOGY
TASKS:
Ten tasks were evaluated on each website:
1. Enter the design lab and choose a t-shirt
2. Changing shirt style or color
3. Upload custom designs
4. Using built in designs
5. Visual representation of design (orientations)
6. Getting Design feedback
7. Share the design with other collaborators
8. Finalizing and payment options
9. Price quotes
10. Customizing for groups and teams
EQUIPTMENT/ENVIRONMENT:
This usability test of Custom Ink and Spread Shirt for first time users was conducted using
Google Chrome on a Lenovo using Windows 10.
Typical users could be working from home or at work or anywhere where someone has access
to the internet. Therefore, this usability test was conducted on a computer in a computer lab.
DESIGN METRICS:
Five design metrics will be tested in each website. These are my five criteria statements:
1. Effective: I was able to complete the task successfully without help from any outside
sources or the websites help option.
2. Efficient: I was able to complete the task in a realistic amount of time without getting
frustrated.
3. Engaging: The product/website is pleasing or satisfying to use.
4. Error Tolerant: The product/website helped me recover from errors and there was no
need to completely restart.
5. Easy to learn: I quickly became familiar with the website and its functions.
4. EVALUATION:
Each of these metrics will be evaluated on a Likert scale from 1 to 6 with 6 being the most
agreeable and 1 being the least. There is an even number of options so that when the user feels
in the middle they are somewhat forced to choose a side to help the evaluation.

CONCLUSIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS:
The two websitesare wellmade intermsof usability.Theybothtake the userstepbystepthroughthe
processof designingacustomt-shirt.The navigationthroughthe designlabiseasytogetfamiliarwith.
Overall,Ithinkthatcustomink wouldbe myfirstchoice.Ithas more to offerwhenitcomesto design
supportand makingbulkordersforgroupsand teams. It alsoismore pleasingtouse whenitcomesto
seeingthe designonahumanbodyand searchingthroughthe designart.Spreadshirtdidoffera couple
thingsthat custominkdidnot. For example, the draganddrop feature foruploadingcustomartand the
optiontodesignonthe sleevesof the shirts.
For custominkI wouldrecommendabettervisual forrotating the designfrombackto frontinsteadof
justthe two little dotsonthe bottom.
For spreadshirtI wouldrecommendaddingateam/grouporderingfeature andIwoulddesignthe laba
little differentlymakingthe designedshirtabiggerpart of the screen.
