This report provides a comparative analysis of two Chinese herbal medicine shops located in different parts of Malaysia. The report profiles Poh Aun Tong Medical Hall in Penang, a small family business run solely by the owner, and Huah Shan Medical Hall in Klang Valley, a larger business with multiple locations and employees. Interviews were conducted at both shops to gather information. The report analyzes the differences between the businesses and concludes that Huah Shan Medical Hall is more commercially successful due to higher annual revenue, larger customer base, and wider product selection. Recommendations are provided to help both businesses improve competitiveness.
