This document provides instructions for a five-page literary analysis assignment. Students must write an argument about the meaning or meanings made in one or more texts from the class reading list. The analysis must be in MLA format, cite evidence from the text to support an interpretive thesis, and demonstrate logical organization, development, and correctness. The assignment aims to have students closely analyze a text they had a strong reaction to and will be graded based on the successful demonstration of a clear thesis, organization, use of evidence, and correct formatting.
