Currently around 600 more species of birds and animals are endangered. 2) Some of the most endangered species in India include rhinoceros, lion, tiger, spotted deer, wild buffalo, crocodiles, peacock, giant squirrel, and lion-tailed monkey. 3) Conservation efforts in India include establishing 67 national parks and 394 sanctuaries, as well as special projects focused on Bengal tigers, Gir lions, rhinoceros, crocodiles, and snow leopards. These efforts aim to protect endangered species and their habitats.
