ENC1143 is a writing course divided into 4 modules: Academic Discourse, Evidence Based Writing, Synthesis Writing, and Reflective Writing. For each module, students will complete writing assignments where they analyze a document from an academic discourse community, create a research plan, write an essay using 3 sources to support a thesis, and create a course synopsis presentation along with a reflective essay. The theme of change is used throughout the course as students discover how change occurs in academic discourse communities and various aspects of the writing process.

and making it relevant to my academic career.
