Empathy map and problem statement
1. Stakeholder: Alex
I have talked to Alex, a young boy of 23 years who is
finishing his economy grade. He lives in Zaragoza, a
spanish (Europe) city of 700.000 people.
He is reliable and sarcastic. Also, he is friendly and
able to work in teams.
2. Empathy map: SAY
• To find a job is harder than 5 years ago
• There is no jobs
• There are a lot of people with experience that are
looking for a job
• I have found training in a new company during
summer
3. Empathy map: DO
• To search for postgraduates or other courses
• To go to other city / country
• To sign up University lists for training
4. Empathy map: THINK
• Here, there is no job
• If I change city / country, I will find anything
• I have no experience, therefore I will not find a job
• 5 years ago, everything was easier than now
5. Empathy map: FEEL
• Fear to inactivity / not to have must
• I don’t know what can I do
• I would like finding a job like other people
6. Problem statement
Alex needs a way to learn about business process
and needs, because he thinks companies are always
looking for experimented profiles, so he will never
obtain an opportunity
