IntroductionWhat is Emotional Intelligence ?		The capacity to know what you are feeling, to understand and generate emotions in a way that will work for you.
First StepsIn 1980,  Dr. Reuven Bar-On started the work in this area, and he noticed that some people who are not necessarily very smart have successful life, and the others who have all the intellectual capabilities have problems at some point.	He defined the EQ-Emotional Intelligence Quotient which measures the level of emotional intelligence that a person has.
EQ vs. IQIQ Cognitive intelligence refers to the capacity to: -concentrate-plan-organize-use the words(and the vocabulary)-understand and assimilate factsIQ: measures the individual informational base that a person has –memory, vocabulary, logic and coordination .
EQ vs. IQ2. EQ It measures the human capacity to :-deal with emotions-interact with others-intrapersonal knowledge-interpersonal knowledge-making feeling and emotions to work for you.EQ is directly responsible for 25-45% of work/career success
