Accomplishments
11 year career at Sallie Mae (the former student loan marketing association), started career as a purchasing assistant,
promoted two additional levels, to Capital Markets and Treasury assistant-reported to the treasurer of Sallie Mae,
capped career as a central mail operator after spending 10 years in the Georgetown headquarters after Sallie Mae
reorganization. As a central operator-this centerwas the distribution hub and billing center for 10 million Sallie Mae
customers across the world. In the corporate finance department for four years I kept records and files of over 300
transactions peryear. Including the securitization of Sallie Mae loans and letters of floating rate notes to the secretary
of the United States Treasury.
Sold Canon USA products in the central business district of Washington,DC for two years. Awarded Canon Golden
eagle pin. I sold over $150,000 of Canon equipment. Earning salesmen of the month, highest commissions for the
month in august of 1998.
With Nextel Communications from their former corporate regional headquarters,I sold over 700 Nextel units in
Bethesda, Maryland-establishing a presence with Royal/Ahold-owners of Giant grocery. Earning high commissions, I
negotiated terms, set pricing, set a delivery date and executed the transaction with Giant grocery information
technology executives in Chantilly, Virginia.
I sold advertising for Comprint Publications in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Helping to turnoverdormant accounts,I
doubled sales and sold over $17,500 of advertising in four months. This assisted Comprint to meet goals of quarter
ending $25,000. My territory covered from Hagerstown, Maryland to Fredericksburg, Virginia-I covered Quantico, Ft.
Meade, Ft. Myer, Ft. Belvoir, Ft. McNair, Indian Head, and Andrews Air Force base,Henderson Hall, Walter Reed
Army Medical, Bolling Air Force base and the Pentagon. Comprint is a subsidiary of the Gazette Newspapers of
Maryland, whose parent company is Post-Newsweek.
At ACT college I recruited moderate to low income students forone of the Washington area’s oldest allied health
proprietary schools achieving high show rates, high closure rates and outstanding leadership qualities and inspiration
to inner city Washington,DC and suburban students. I enrolled and started over 70 students forACT College during
my year tenure.
At New Century Financial I sold over 2.5 million in loan volume, I was the top producing loan officer in November of
2006-reaching a million dollars in loan volume . New Century was the biggest subprime lender in the United States; I
also closed a prime jumbo loan with special basis point consideration out of the former corporate office in Irvine,
California of $650,000.
With Westwood College, a startup (only 36 months in operation) proprietary college, based out of Denver, Colorado in
the competitive proprietary market my accomplishments include, Campus admissions outstanding leadership award for
3. September, October, and December 2007, also received monthly leadership award for June 2009. Top peak
performance award for the Virginia Arlington Ballston campus, 2007 and 2008. I also received the Gold standard
award for period 1 and for period 2 in 2009. Making a total of 5 awards received during my 2.5 year tenure with
Westwood College. A campus start rate high-through Alta-wide of 92 percent-unprecedented. A showrate as high as
56 percent-also unprecedented. I have managed passed three directors of admissions, two area vice president and
over 20 admissions representatives.
