Principal, Hope-Hill Elementary School
Accomplishments
• Implemented a culture of high expectations and collaborative relationships to aid in school improvement
• Established highly effective and collaborative relationships with community associations, neighborhood
associations, elected city officials, business partners, and parents
• Demonstrated a 22% increase on the CCRPI, which was the highest gain in the District
• Demonstrated double digit increases in fourth and fifth grade student achievement in all CRCT core content areas
• Demonstrated double digit increases in the percentage of fourth grade students exceeding standards on the CRCT
• Increased student growth percentiles as evidenced by the movement of Hope-Hill on the regression line when
compared to data of similar schools
• Effectively implemented PBIS school-wide in order to emphasize positive relationships with students
• Effectively implemented a school-wide RTI initiative that resulted in 18 students qualifying for academic services
• Developed a comprehensive Professional Learning Plan that supported teachers in their identified deficiencies in
order to ensure quality teaching for every student
• Decreased teacher absenteeism and underspent the allocation for substitute services by 50%
