What is embedded antenna??
• It is a metallic conductor which is placed in a
dielectric medium with the dielectric constant
more than 1
Why do u need a dielectric medium?
• To reduce the length of the antenna ,without
changing the resonant freq,we use a dielectric
medium
• A lambda/2 dipole resonates in the same freq
when its placed in the dielectric medium
which has the length-
EXAMPLE
• We can use a 3.5 cm instead of a 5.8cm as the
length of dipole for a resonant freq of 2.6Mhz
