2. Background
Emap International Limited is a British media company,
specialising in the production of business-to-business
magazines, and the organisation of business events
and conferences. The company was once a constituent
of the FTSE 100 Index but is now owned
by Apax and Guardian Media Group.
"EMAP" is an acronym, standing for East Midland Allied
Press.
3. Brands
As shown below, on their website EMAP list
all of the different magazines that they own,
however it is unclear from this list that these
are actually magazine names and only
becomes slightly more evident when you click
on the links for each magazine as there are
no screen shots of the magazines or such
like.
4.
However I did manage to find a
subscription site that shows the front
covers of all of the magazines that
EMAP produce.
5. Audience
From the information given on EMAP’s website
about the magazines I can tell that
their audience is older
and more
sophisticated than
mine. I can tell this
from he descriptive
language that is used
to describe their
magazines, the fact
that the descriptions
are very lengthy and
the website itself is
very plain and lacking
a certain youthful look
to it.
6. Advertising
They drive their business through EMAP’s
multi-platform marketing solutions, delivering
the science to target an audience, the content
to create engagement, and the scale to drive
ROI.
They inspire, innovate and engage, through
market-leading journalism delivering their
products and services to their customers.
In an age of austerity EMAP delivers their
businesses with a critical objective: growth.
