A police officer investigates the abduction of a woman who has been tortured by a psychopathic criminal. During his investigation, the officer discovers that he himself is the criminal who has been abducting and assaulting women. The opening sequence shows the criminal hitting a girl tied up in the basement of an Ewhurst house. He then walks away, drinks water, and opens a window, with the camera following him to reveal a missing poster of the girl outside.
