She is a French artist who moved to UK and trained here by studying in Kingston, Central Saint Martin’s and the Royal College of Art. She currently resides in the London (One of the Fashion capitals), UK and has had her work and exhibitions around the world now, including countries such as New York (also One of the Fashion capitals), Brussels and Madrid and many more. She has won numerous awards for BIDA Award Best Newcomer, The Parallel Prize, The Guardian, Absolute Vodka, Graduate Awards and Creative Review. Her job is to design clothes specifically, however she creates them using only paper, newspaper etc, and is very famous for her range of clothing dresses which are made from a map. Her Map Dresses got her very noticed in the world of Art and Design and also in the Fashion business. She uses techniques such as ruffling, fans etc to add effect and different styles to her clothing e.g the shoulder/string less ruffled dress made completely of newspaper. This is my favourite work of hers and I think that the different effects she creates with the paper make the dress even seem that it is made of cloth or other proper clothing materials, instead of paper, so she is noticed as a very simple, yet talented artist in the fashion clothing scene. Although her dresses can’t be worn or bought from shops, they can always be exhibited at art galleries around the world.<br />
