1. David Sobaski-Marchi
David is a self-taught abstract expressionist artist.
Surrounded by creative influences throughout his life, his father, a
commercial builder and his mother, an award-winning photographer,
exposed him to architecture and photo creativity.
While David never painted before, a boat accident in May 2015
fractured his back and with other injuries, stopped him from
everything he love, Yoga, Flywheel, and traveling around the world as
a creative and innovative consultant.
On May 18th
2015 at 3:00 am, David woke up with an unstoppable
urge to paint.
He found an old easel and paints his children gave him 5 years ago.
Opened it up, salvaged what he could from it and put a brush to
canvas for the first time.
He has not stopped.
David’s work is acrylic on canvas large and small format. He has
completed his 27th
painting today, December 7th
for his gallery show
at The Agora Gallery in New York City.
2. In a very short period of time, one of his works “Water Eating Sun”
hangs in the Wohlfarth Galleries In Washington D.C. and he has been
commissioned from private clients in East Hampton, Dubai and
Germany.
David lives in New York City and Newfane Vermont with his husband,
couture wedding gown designer Matthew Christopher.
He has 4 children, Justin Kayne, Elizabeth Kayla, John Patrick and
Benjamin Luddy with his former wife and best friend Brenda.
