1. Researching on Film Set Designs was a bit harder as it was nearly impossible to find a good, clear still image, however i still managed to gather up a load of amazing set designs. My favourite film/ animation director is Tim Burton and i found that many of his film sets were incredible sight, so i found examples of sets from 2 different films he directed, ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’ and his new movie ‘Alice In Wonderland’. However many of his other sets such as ‘Sweeney Todd’ and ‘Sleepy Hollow’ had really well built and imaginatively created sets too. All of Burton’s sets are left with what i call the signature ‘Burton Look’ as even if they are supposed to be colourful and cheerful sets such as the set of ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’, he still leaves a slightly gothic like. One example of this is in the picture of the ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’ set where it’s very colourful with bright green grass on the swirling hills and eye catching, candy red mushrooms, over the chocolate river, but the drooping trees (looking like weeping willow trees) and the pumpkins (symbolisation of Halloween) add on the gothic, mysterious, yet attractive look to it, and match perfectly together when combined. I now realise that in my plan i also used a massive candy red, oversized mushroom (only as a house) in my cardboard city. I think his ideas for his sets are inspirational and flow with geniosity and a great depth of detail, making it all the more amazing for the audience, so i will try to use his mindset to create my own work and give it his touch to it.<br />
