3. Subtraction
•Finding the difference of two numbers or objects
•Subtraction is written using the minus sign “-” between each number
•Words indicating subtraction: minus, difference, take away
•Examples: 3-3=0, 2-1=1,9-7=2

4. Multiplication
• Scaling one number by another
• Sign indication multiplication “X”
• Words indicating multiplication: times, multiply
• Examples: 2x2=0, 3x3=9, 2x0=0

5. Division
• A digit broken into a certain number
of groups forming a new number
• Sign indicating division: / or ÷
• Words indicating division: quotient,
divide
• Examples 6÷2=3, 5÷1=5, 0÷5=0
