Conclusions:
• More OEMs are planning to introduce new BEV trucks
• The range will increase in the coming years
• Except for Nikola and Tesla, all OEM’s have ranges between 150 and 300 km

• 345 kWh net battery capacity, >150km range
• Now temporary 231kWh battery

12. eGLM charging infrastructure
Charging infra we will/have realise(d) within the project:
Slow (night) charging:
• 5 x 50 kW CCS DC
• 3 x 43 kW AC (onboard inverters, for flexibility)
Ultra-Fast charging:
• 4 x 350 kW CCS DC (start with 150kW)
• Near logistics operations: Reduce waiting
• Network in Ruhr-area (GER) and Limburg (NL)

13. eGLM project: What will be tested:
In different use cases, logistic processes, routings and distances
• Performance and behaviour of the vehicles and charging infrastructure
• Optimisation of the system: Routing, logistics planning and charging
• Analysing driver behaviour and satisfaction

14. Practical findings with charging
• Location specific
• High investments in grid-connections etc.
• High capacity/peak-demand rates, substantially impacts the business case
for transport companies
• Delays in grid (connection) realisation
• Once realised, minor errors and “vehicle  charger” communication issues
cause (long) downtime.

15. eGLM general findings
• Living lab, lots of lessons are learned!
• Drivers are enthusiastic
