Full relocation package offered.<br /> <br />Electrical Engineer<br /> <br />Job Purpose:<br />Utilize modern computer based tools and laboratory instrumentation in the design and development of electronic circuitry and systems. May also utilize software and mechanical design skills to a lesser degree in the creation of above systems. Works with a significant amount of independence, while taking direction from higher level engineers and the Director of Engineering. May carry all or most of the following duties and responsibilities.<br />Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:<br />Design of electronic circuitry, utilizing sound engineering practices and with the aid or OrCad schematic capture and PC Board layout software.<br />Participate in the conversion of paper designs into physical product through personal “packaging” efforts as well as interface with others including, but not limited to:<br /> PC Board layout personnel <br /> Component vendors <br /> Production assembly personnel <br /> Production test personnel <br /> Quality personnel <br />Lead DO160 Environmental Qualification Testing to include:<br /> Perform Qual by Similarity analysis for all EMI aspects of a program including but not limited to EMI, Lightning, and HIRF. <br /> Develop detailed test plans for conducting tests for electronic systems and components <br /> Coordinate approval of test plans with appropriate Certification Authority, as necessary. <br /> Coordinate testing with third party test labs including: set up the system under test, oversee test in accordance with the approved test plan, and monitor and record responses. <br /> Analyze test results and test lab reports containing findings, conclusions, and make recommendations for the test article. <br />Generation of peripheral documentation, as required , to support the design and verification of completed design including, but not limited to:<br /> Released Schematics and Wiring Diagrams <br /> Bills of Materials <br /> Development Test Procedures and Reports <br /> Production Test Procedures <br /> Assembly Drawings <br /> Simple mechanical and piece part drawings <br /> Component Specifications <br />Utilize high level (VHDL) logic development language to implement necessary functionality within FPGA based designs.<br />Interface with customers, as required, in the diagnosis and rectification of field failures or problems.<br />Specification and design of test equipment to be used in the production environment as part of the manufacturing process.<br />Aid in the generation of software, both embedded and application, which is necessary to the proper operation and test of developed products.<br />Completes moderately complex tasks in a timely fashion with minimal supervision.<br />May travel, as required, to accommodate above duties.<br />Knowledge and Skill Requirement:<br /> B.S.E.E., B.S.C.E., or equivalent experience <br /> 5+ years PC Board schematic and layout <br /> 5+ years DO160 Environmental Qualification Testing <br /> 2+ Years leadership role (including directly managing schedules and resources) <br /> Working knowledge of FPGA designs (i.e. VHDL or Verilog) <br /> Demonstrates leadership skills including initiative, abstract conceptualizing, perseverance and the ability to provide direction despite uncertain conditions. <br /> Independently determines and develops proactive approaches to solutions including the use of innovative approaches and new technology. <br /> Demonstrates proficiency in problem solving <br /> Multitasks and manages own projects <br /> Demonstrates creativity necessary to ensure success <br /> Uses advanced techniques to identify and provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems <br /> Effectively communicates and works cooperatively with others and as part of a team <br />Benefits:<br />Our competitive salary and benefits package includes: semi annual bonus plan, health, disability and life insurance and 401(k) with the company matching.<br /> <br />
