Electric Service Credit Union is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2011. It was founded in 1951 by 11 employees of Nashville Electric Service and has since expanded to allow anyone living or working in Davidson or Sumner Counties to join. Over the years, ESCU has grown from an initial $5 deposit to over $50 million in assets and 5,000 members. It continues to offer services like loans, savings accounts, and financial education to members.
