2. Tips
 Students are advised to read the
questions before they listen to the
tapescript.
 Only if they have read the questions, they
are able to “guess” what they are going
to listen TO and what they need to listen
FOR.
 Listen TO:
 news items
 documentary
 announcement
 dialogue

 Listen FOR:
 Figures / amount
 Names of places
 People
 etc
 While listening to the tapescript the first
time, students are advised to attempt to
answer the questions.
 When they listen for the second time, they
can confirm the answers and answer the
questions that they had missed the first
time.

4. Number of Words
 If the questions require answers
NOT MORE THAN 3 WORDS, the
answers CANNOT exceed 3 words.
 Similarly, for blanks that require
NOT MORE THAN 5 WORDS,
answers CANNOT exceed 5 words.
 Erase all the points that had been
jotted down.
