To boot from the DVD, insert it and switch on your machine. You might have to reconfigure your BIOS to boot from the disc, which normally involves hitting something like F2 during initial startup and going through a menu system.
On corporate machines, you may find your BIOS is password-protected, in which case you will have to ask an administrator to unlock it.
