• The theory that suggests that audience
are influenced by the text/media
• The bobo doll experiment was used to
suggest this theory however there have
been problems found with the experiment.
2. How our music video may influence
others..
• The way in which our audience could be
influenced is in a stereotypical way of wearing
clothes similar to the artist. This is done in music
videos usually. The audience will want to be like
the artist as if they are a figure to look up to. It
also can influence people to be creative. Music
videos are being made regularly nowadays not
just by artists but by everyone as Youtube has
allowed viral file sharing.
3. Cultural Studies Approach
• The approach tries to understand how the media
might be powerful and influence audiences but
also encourages researchers to understand the
active nature of certain audiences.
• The audience can either have a preferred
reading, negotiated reading or an oppositional
reading.

4. What reading our audience may
have…
• I think that the audience may have a
negotiated reading as the genre is not
appreciated by all. It depends on certain
peoples tastes and their likes. People are
individual so they will understand the text
but they will adapt their reading to fit in
with their interests. However I think all of
the audience will be able to recognise the
genre and link to it in some way as it is a
way of society in some aspects.
