The Third Transnational Project Meeting of the "Improving the efficiency and attractiveness of vocational education/training of electricians" project was held in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. Representatives from Germany, Latvia, and Bulgaria discussed the development of training modules and participated in a lab tour of the Technical University of Gabrovo. Upcoming activities include a trainer training event in Germany, translating modules into partner languages, and the next project meeting in Lithuania. The overall goal of the project is to improve vocational education for electricians across Europe.

Working Group 2 (i-teacher) has initiated and developed an online catalogue of recommended Cloud-based concepts (platforms, technology, applications and tools) for teachers. As getting access to state-of-the-art information is very difficult for teachers, this Working Group uses the annual conferences to ask participating members to identify and share concepts, tools and apps for i-Teacher. The group will establish meta-data for the catalogue. This catalogue will be continually updated by members of the working group as new products, apps and updates appear. The catalogue will be disseminated through the project blog, newsletters and via social media. A hard copy of the latest tools will be printed (on demand) for circulation at dissemination events.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The Third Transnational Project Meeting on
the Project “Improving the efficiency and the
attractiveness of vocational education/
training of electricians” was held on 01-02 of
June, 2023 in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. It was hosted
by the European Center for Bildung, Science
and Innovation (ECESI).
Representatives of partner institutions from
Germany, Latvia and Bulgaria participated in
the Third Transnational Project Meeting.
In the course of the meeting project partners
reported and discussed the following key
points:
1. The status of the project by Project

e.V, ECESI and RTA presented the 02
Project Result “Development of Training
Modules” which they have developed.
FORTHCOMING PROJECT ACTIVITIES
1. The event “Training of the trainers” will
be organised in Leipzig, Germany, from
09. to 11.11.2023.
2. The English version of Modules will be
uploaded to MOODLE – 29 of
September 2023.
3. The appropriate e-learning environ-
ment will be presented by 29.09.2023.
4. The VET Trainees’ Manual on

uploaded to MOODLE in the languages
