This lab assignment asks students to: 1. Write assembly code to generate square waveforms of specific frequencies corresponding to musical notes, as indicated in Table 1, and output these to P0.7 based on switch input. Students are to verify this works using simulation before the lab. 2. During the lab, connect a speaker to the microprocessor kit using the provided circuit diagram to interface the speaker. Students should then be able to play notes by changing the switch positions and hearing sound from the speaker. 3. Teaching assistants will check that the correct waveforms are being generated and the speaker interfacing is working properly for different switch inputs.
