Educational Radio-Television in Greece produces short educational films for classroom use and disseminates them through public television and DVDs. However, low ratings and limited reach have been issues. A new website and digital archives allow free downloads. The EduTubePlus project partners 17 organizations across 12 countries to provide educational video clips in 11 languages. A pilot program involves schools in testing the platform. Educational Television is transitioning to utilize social media and user-generated content to create an open collaborative learning environment where students can become active producers and sharers of digital content.
