The primary goal of this research was to investigate AOU students' conceptions of the quality of online experience through the learning management system in supporting their classroom tutorials. A 32-item questionnaire was administered to a randomly selected sample (205) of Elementary Education students at the AOU Jordan Branch. On one hand, the results showed that the objectives of the courses were very clear to students, online materials on the learning management system were interesting and supported to classroom learning, students preferred online quizzes, the online materials supported key assessment tasks and tutors provided continuous access to relevant information about assessment. On the other hand, the findings revealed that the online materials and e-activities were too loaded for the students to understand thoroughly, and much of the feedback they received from the tutor was not helpful. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences among students’ views of BL or their overall satisfaction of the online experience that could be attributed to gender or academic achievement level. Hybrid Learning Wilu 2010
Concordia University piloted a credit information literacy course for 800 "at-risk" students using Moodle to create a hybrid learning experience. Over two terms, 500 students took the course in the fall with positive feedback, and 200 students took it in the winter. Test scores showed an average 33% improvement in information literacy skills. Moving forward, the university aims to increase hands-on activities, student communication, and asynchronous e-learning in the course.

Exploring the Impact of Open Textbooks Around the World
Open educational resources (OER) have the potential to reduce costs for students and increase flexibility for educators. A global research project is exploring the impacts of OER through various methods, including surveys of educators who have adopted open textbooks. Preliminary findings suggest that OER can increase student satisfaction and engagement while allowing educators to better accommodate student needs and reflect more on their teaching practices. Educators report that OER adoption is also motivating them to collaborate more and explore new teaching approaches.
