University) in Ancona, Italy with a certified English translation certifying that Michele
Centanni was awarded the Laurea di Dottore (Laureate Degree) in Ingegneria della
Produzione Industriale (Industrial and Production Engineering) on July 26, 2005. This
document was dated July 26, 2005, was signed by the Administrative Director, the Rector
and the Dean of the Faculty and is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering
from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States. A copy of a Diploma
Supplement with an English translation verifying program information and listing the
coursework completed from 1999 through 2005, including the credits and grades, was also
submitted. Entrance into the three-year, first cycle Laurea di Dottore program requires the

the general examination on October 26, 2009 and was conferred the title of Master
Universitario (University Master) in Merchant Banking. This document was dated
December 30, 2009, was signed by the Rector, the President of the Faculty, the Director
General and the Director of the Master’s Program and is equivalent to a master’s degree in
banking and financial management from a regionally accredited college or university in the
United States. A copy of a transcript listing the coursework completed in 2009, including
the credits and marks, was also submitted. Entrance into the one-year Master Universitario
di secondo livello program requires the Laurea Specialistica described in paragraph #2. The
Universita Carlo Cattaneo is recognized by the Ministero dell’Università e della
Ricerca/MiUR (Ministry of Universities and Research—formerly MURST), the
organization responsible for overseeing the quality and complexity of higher education in
Italy. This status parallels regional accreditation of tertiary educational institutions in the
United States. Within this degree program, Michele Centanni earned the equivalent of a 4.0

4. In summary, it is the judgment of the Foundation that Michele Centanni has the equivalent
of a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, a master’s degree in engineering
management and a second master’s degree in banking and financial management from a
regionally accredited college or university in the United States.
5. The Foundation’s evaluations serve as suggested guidelines and are advisory in nature.
Under no circumstance does the Foundation desire to encroach on the individual autonomy,
residence requirements or internal policies of educational institutions. The documents
submitted were photocopies.
6. The Foundation’s equivalency determinations are arrived at using multiple source materials
and a well-developed evaluation methodology supported by thorough comparative education
research and industry-standard training. FIS evaluators are international education
professionals with expertise in both foreign education systems and U.S. higher education.
Many FIS evaluators have had prior experience working in university admission
departments, registrar offices and international services units. In addition to having a
reference collection of well over one million foreign credentials, FIS evaluators have
exclusive access to an extensive research library which includes print materials such as
reference manuals, books, and periodicals, as well as electronic materials. The materials
used in this particular evaluation include the ECE publication titled The Educational System
of Italy, the International Association of Universities UNESCO publication titled the
International Handbook of Universities, the World Education Series AACRAO publication
titled Italy and information provided by Universita Carlo Cattaneo and the AACRAO
Electronic Database for Global Education (EDGE).

Qualifications of the Analyst: Séverine Kassimou Immesoete is the Director of Evaluations at the Foundation for
International Services, Inc. and has worked with FIS from 2005 to 2007, and from 2010 to the present. In addition to
expertise in foreign credentials evaluation and immigration services, she has relevant international education experience
in translation and international curriculum development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Université de Bretagne
Occidentale /UBO and a Master of Arts from the University of Wales Swansea/UBO. Professional organizations include
NAFSA: Association of International Educators, for which she has been a conference presenter, and the American
Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).
