The way groups work depends on factors like the amount of time spent together, level of organization, and size of the group. This document summarizes and analyzes the current state of campaign finance law in the United States. It makes two key points:
1) The Roberts Court has consistently struck down campaign finance regulations, narrowing the definition of corruption to only direct quid pro quo exchanges. However, corruption could also include "group-level" exchanges between contributors and a group of coordinated officeholders. Recognizing this could provide a basis for regulating party campaign finance.
2) Deregulating party campaign finance could further dismantle the existing system and empower parties over individual candidates. Instead, the article argues campaign finance law should address concerns about unequal political influence of different groups.

Later stages of socialization involve learning new social roles throughout the life cycle, such as adolescence, adulthood, and old age. Total institutions aim to resocialize individuals by breaking down their original identity and building a new one.

Who I am as a Learner (Bray) version 3Barbara Bray
How do you know how you learn best? This inventory was updated by Barbara Bray in 2018 to follow the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, social-emotional learning strategies, and bring in skills and competencies learners may or may not have at the time they fill it out.
Any learner any age may find that when they fill out this inventory, they can then create a Learner Profile summarizing where and who they are as a learner. The idea of this inventory is for anyone to figure out how they learn best so they can adjust or meet their learning needs when they need them based on what they learn about themselves. They can also use the information to tell their story and follow their learning journey. Teachers can adapt this inventory to make it more relevant to their students.
If you would like a version you can adapt or would like Barbara to assist you, contact her at barbara.bray@gmail.com

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

3. Introduction
The ideas presented in Education 2.015 would not be possible without the people who have influenced my
work as an educator over the past 20+ years. Some of these influencers are personal friends with whom I
have taught. Others are people I only know by reading their books and blogs. I have learned from all of
you and for that I am profoundly grateful.
What you are about to see are my most recent ideas, thoughts, riffs, etc. about education, learning, and
teaching. Each idea represented here is also expanded upon in a post on my blog, The Thrivapy Blog.
You have an open invitation to visit The Thrivapy Blog and/or to reach out to me for further information
regarding any of the items you see here.
The ideas are presented in a more graphic manner for a couple of reasons. First, I enjoy making them.
Canva is a wonderful service and I highly recommend it if you are looking to make similar images.
Second, as much as I like reading, I appreciate being exposed to big ideas in small packages. My
experience has been that such presentations are more successful in motivating me to choose to learn
more.
Shorter reads are also much easier to revisit and share. Producing a resource that is easy to reread and
share is one of my goals for Education 2.015. Therefore, I chose this format to help achieve that goal.
Finally, thank you. Your time is valuable and I truly appreciate your investment in my work. I sincerely
hope you find at least one (hopefully more) nugget of wisdom that makes a positive impact on you.
Now, let us begin.
