MY EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY
Technology Used Well
Technology used well in schools can offer a
tangible link to the outside world – it can be a
bridge in many different ways to what is
happening outside of the classroom. It could act
as a link to other schools, learners and countries
that will enhance the experience that students
can have in a classroom. They also offer an idea
of the type of workflow they may experience
when they leave school. Organizing your work on
a mobile device is inevitably the future of schools,
but it is the reality of many businesses already and
certainly will be by the time the students currently
starting secondary school leave.
Education Technology is not a
gimmick if done right. It is an
inevitable progression of how
we teach our children. What is
important is that we learn how
to use it in the best possible
way. This may mean changing
the way we teach. It may
mean changing the way a
school functions. It may mean
completely redesigning the
concept of school.
BLACKBOARD
Using Blackboard can be helpful to you and
your
students.
Blackboard
is
a course
management system that allows you to
provided content to students in a central
location, communicate with students quickly,
and provide grades in an electronic format to
students. Students can submit assignments
electronically and work with a variety of built-in
Web-based tools such as e-portfolios, wikis,
and blogs. Students can also assess their peers
and self-assess if projects are designed for such
assessment.
BOOKS
The books can learn new things from it
and u can research difference
information u need. Writing is the
most powerful
tool invented
by
humankind because it is a tool of the
mind. We use books so that we can
gather information or data about
different things. We also use it , so that
we can gain more knowledge and to
know other things that we usually don't
know.
FLASHCARDS
A card used to aid rote memorization.
One side of the card contains data of
one kind, or a question, and the other
side contains the associated response
which one wants to memorize.
Flashcard is a mode to help you learn
some facts. A flash card is a small
card with two sides. On one side, a
question is written, on the other the
answer.
LAPTOP AND PROJECTOR
Laptops are a good choice for those of us that like to
take the computer everywhere we go and not take a
huge amount of space where we put it.
This being said, laptops are more practical and even if
they aren't as powerful as desktops, they offer enough
power people are looking for getting the job done.
"The smaller the better", that's what many may say,
especially if they are only interested in office stuff, such as
reading and writing documents, reading and sending
emails, messaging and watching a movie or two while
browsing the internet for information.
For people that are working on the move with the
wireless Internet. In some country's for example Chinese
people don't have very big houses. they can not afford
to have a large desktop in their home so choose to have
a laptop or notebook because they don't take up much
room.
I think using projector help us to give better teaching to
the students. In order for a large classroom to see items
clearly, the overhead projector needs to be at the
perfect distance and angle. Panoramic views are very
difficult to achieve and the inability to read slides can be
distracting to observers. For this reason, using projector
would provide better learning for the students.
Projectors enable teachers to create bulleted
PowerPoint presentations or other highly organized notes
for the class. With the use of projectors in the classroom,
students can take better notes with the ability to discern
what information the teacher displays is most useful to
them. Additionally, students can ask the teacher to
repeat a slide if they missed information, or even ask that
the teacher to email the presentation for further review.
