1) The author shortened and rearranged shots in the second draft of their opening sequence to fit the time frame and create intrigue by not always showing characters' faces. 2) They only used fade in and fade out transitions as these are traditionally used in films and helped show the passage of time between two characters. 3) Slow motion was used on a shot of an earphone popping out and on a shot of the female character to make the motion comprehensible and give a reverie-like feel.
