Imovie is a preloaded video editor on MacBooks that the author chose to use for its simple and user friendly interface well-suited for beginners. While it provides effects, sounds and easy media importing, the author found syncing scenes to lyrics and adjusting contrast precisely to be challenging. There is also no explicit save button, though work is not lost unless deliberately cleared from the software.

I have chosen to use iMovie as my choice of editing
software as it is a preloaded video editor on my MacBook. It
has simple user friendly keys that help out when you are a
first time movie editor. Most things are ready for you to use
such as effects and sounds and video uploading is made
easy with a click and drag or import setting. There are many
options on iMovie for editing and for a first time user it has
not been to complicating for my use hence why I have
resulted in using it.

The timing and syncing is very precise like a pro
editing program so trying to get scenes to match the
lyrical content is very difficult. Some contrast levels
are more for perfectionists as the slightest
movement on the scale can change the shot from
black to white. There is no proper save button on
iMovie so it worries you at first if you will loose your
work but it stays on iMovie until you clear it.
