This document describes the EDI Defender Series product for managing impacts from lift trucks. The Defender uses a pressure transducer and microcontroller to measure and record impact forces of up to 16G. It has configurable impact warning levels and records impact events. The Defender can also function as a lift truck weighing scale to measure load weights with graduations from 1 to 100 pounds/kilograms. It has an impact resistant ABS enclosure and is rated for harsh industrial environments.
