INTRODUCTION
• Edge computing is a new computing paradigm that brings computation and data storage closer to the
devices that generate and use the data.
• It enables faster response times, reduces network congestion, and enhances privacy and security by
processing data locally on the device or at nearby edge servers.
• Edge computing has a wide range of applications in various fields such as autonomous vehicles,
healthcare, and industrial automation.
• However, it also presents several challenges such as managing distributed resources and ensuring
data consistency and security.
• Researchers are exploring various
techniques and architectures, such as edge-
native applications, distributed machine
learning, and federated learning, to address
these challenges.
• Edge computing is expected to play a
significant role in shaping our digital future
by enabling new applications and services
that were previously not possible, and
transforming the way we interact with

WORKING OF EDGE COMPUTING
• Edge computing involves distributing computational tasks and data storage among various devices and

devices that generate and use the data.
• Instead of transmitting data to a central server or data center for processing and analysis, data is
processed locally on the device or at nearby edge servers, resulting in reduced latency and network
congestion.
• Edge computing enhances privacy and security by processing sensitive data locally on the device or at
the edge server, reducing the risk of data breaches during transmission over the network.
• Edge computing requires a distributed architecture, where resources are managed across multiple
devices and nodes in the network, resulting in improved scalability, reliability, and flexibility.
• Edge computing can enable real-time processing of sensor data, enabling faster decision-making and
response times in applications such as autonomous vehicles and industrial automation.

• With the continued increase in data volume and velocity, edge computing is becoming
increasingly critical to organizations, and its numerous advantages are expected to play a
significant role in the future of computing and technology.

INTRODUCTION • Edge computing is a new computing paradigm that brings computation and data storage closer to the devices that generate and use the data. • It enables faster response times, reduces network congestion, and enhances privacy and security by processing data locally on the device or at nearby edge servers. • Edge computing has a wide range of applications in various fields such as autonomous vehicles, healthcare, and industrial automation. • However, it also presents several challenges such as managing distributed resources and ensuring data consistency and security.
