2. Ecuadorian cocoa is recognized around the world
because of its diversity in flavor and aroma. The
geographical factors of each region in Ecuador allow
for specific flavors and fragrances to be
developed which delight the most demanding
chocolate experts. Cocoa is one of the most important
products in Ecuador. Nowadays over 70% of the
world’s fine aroma cocoa production belongs to
Ecuador, making the country the largest producer
of fine aroma cocoa.
3. Production and variety in Ecuador
Cocoa production takes place mainly in the provinces of
Esmeraldas, Manabi, Los Rios,
Guayas, Pichincha, Napo and Sucumbios.

4. Profile of Cocoa in Russia
According to the Ministry of industry and trade in Russia:
All consumption of cocoa globally, more than 70% is
consumed in the European Union, Russia with 11.6%,
France with the 10.3% and United Kingdom with 9.2%,
while in United States and Latin America is consumed
almost another third that are 32.7%.
Russian imports of cocoa has been in 1,000 tons per
year.
82% of the population consumed chocolate, the most
popular are the chocolate bars, individual chocolates and
boxes of chocolates.
They are interested in those chocolates that have
several products in its interior as nuts, raisins,
macadamia nuts, vodka.
The consumption of chocolate in Russia is 5kg per
person.
5. The market
The demand for cocoa in Russia are in the most important
cities.
Moscow and surrounding areas that have 33% of the total
number of supermarkets and stores where the highest
demand of the product are.
The dark chocolate is preferred by Russian consumers.
Cocoa powder have great opportunities because of the
demand in cafeteria chains.
