Ijeee 33-36-surveillance system for coal mines based on wireless sensor networkKumar Goud
Abstract: The foremost critical task for coal mine is of keeping track of miners spread out across a large mining areas .It becomes even difficult when mine tunnels collapse. Many mines use a radio system to track miners, but when a collapse occurs, the base stations connected by a thin wire often are rendered useless. In this project to overcome the demerits of radio system we used wireless technology for tracking the miners. For this purpose a small RF transmitter module is equipped to each person entering a mine. Each transceiver placed in the mine look after the location of miners. The transceivers communicate with base stations through Zigbee module. In addition of tracking the location of miners we also include sensors such as temperature & humidity to intimate the base station & miners when some atmosphere changes occur. Mine operators are now able to monitor the real-time locations of each miner to better pinpoint their locations in the event of an emergency. Even after a full-day of use, mine operators can locate an individual miner within ten feet.

Fire Rated, LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen LSF) Junction Box Enclosures IEC 331
(750°C for 3 hours) & BS6387 (950°C for 3 hours - Flame Only)
Fire Rated Electrical Enclosures - Mild, Stainless Steel, GRP
When installing essential electrical systems such as emergency lighting or fire safety controls, great emphasis is placed upon the fire survivability of the critical components such as fire dampers, actuators and cables that are contained in the area. Often the specification of the junction boxes and enclosures is neglected with respect to fire resistance and survival. On the basis that any system is only as good as the weakest part, it is important that attention is paid to the junction boxes being utilised for essential systems.
Abtech ensure the fire survival of junction boxes using both the SX (stainless steel enclosure) and BPG (GRP enclosure) ranges.
Fire Rated Electrical Enclosures Tested to IEC 331 - SX Enclosure Range :
IEC331 - 750 Degrees celsius for 3 hours - flame only - PASSED
BS6387 C - 950 Degrees celsius for 3 hours - flame only - PASSED
BS6387 Z - 950 Degrees celius for 3 hours - external impact - PASSED
BS6387 W - 950 Degrees celsius for 3 hours - water spray - PASSED
Abtech SX and BPG electrical enclosures and junction boxes when fitted with ceramic terminals are suitable for use in areas designated to require fire resistant cables according to IEC331, BS6387 C (fire alone), BS6387 Z (impact test) and BS6387 W (fire with water test).

Surge wave generators (SWG) are used with reflectometers for cable fault location. They generate surges that create arcs at faults, allowing transient waves to be recorded and fault distances to be determined. SWGs are available for voltages up to 3500kV and energies up to 3500J. They use switchable capacitors and surge stages to optimize energy for prelocation and pinpointing faults. A Digiphone receiver uses the difference in arrival time between electromagnetic and acoustic signals to precisely locate faults.
DC testing has been accepted for many years as the standard field method for performing high-voltage tests on cable insulation systems. Whenever DC testing is performed, full consideration should be given to the fact that steady-state direct voltage creates within the insulation systems an electrical field determined by the geometry and conductance of the insulation, whereas under service conditions, alternating voltage creates an electric field determined chiefly by the geometry and dielectric constant (or capacitance) of the insulation.
Under ideal, homogeneously uniform insulation conditions, the mathematical formulas governing the steady-state stress distribution within the cable insulation are of the same form for DC and for AC, resulting incomparable relative values; however, should the cable insulation contain defects in which either the conductivity or the dielectric constant assume values significantly different from those in the bulk of the insulation, the electric stress distribution obtained with direct voltage will no longer correspond to that obtained with alternating voltage.

Conversational agents, or chatbots, are increasingly used to access all sorts of services using natural language. While open-domain chatbots - like ChatGPT - can converse on any topic, task-oriented chatbots - the focus of this paper - are designed for specific tasks, like booking a flight, obtaining customer support, or setting an appointment. Like any other software, task-oriented chatbots need to be properly tested, usually by defining and executing test scenarios (i.e., sequences of user-chatbot interactions). However, there is currently a lack of methods to quantify the completeness and strength of such test scenarios, which can lead to low-quality tests, and hence to buggy chatbots.
To fill this gap, we propose adapting mutation testing (MuT) for task-oriented chatbots. To this end, we introduce a set of mutation operators that emulate faults in chatbot designs, an architecture that enables MuT on chatbots built using heterogeneous technologies, and a practical realisation as an Eclipse plugin. Moreover, we evaluate the applicability, effectiveness and efficiency of our approach on open-source chatbots, with promising results.

Essentials of Automations: Exploring Attributes & Automation ParametersSafe Software
Building automations in FME Flow can save time, money, and help businesses scale by eliminating data silos and providing data to stakeholders in real-time. One essential component to orchestrating complex automations is the use of attributes & automation parameters (both formerly known as “keys”). In fact, it’s unlikely you’ll ever build an Automation without using these components, but what exactly are they?
Attributes & automation parameters enable the automation author to pass data values from one automation component to the next. During this webinar, our FME Flow Specialists will cover leveraging the three types of these output attributes & parameters in FME Flow: Event, Custom, and Automation. As a bonus, they’ll also be making use of the Split-Merge Block functionality.
You’ll leave this webinar with a better understanding of how to maximize the potential of automations by making use of attributes & automation parameters, with the ultimate goal of setting your enterprise integration workflows up on autopilot.

Ruggedness
Due to its rugged construction, the i.roc®
Ci70 -Ex is ide-
ally suited for mobile applications requiring compact design
without compromising on technology. The i.roc®
Ci70 -Ex was
developed with consideration for all the adversities of every-
day work of its users. Extreme weather conditions or drops
from distances of up to 1.2 m (4 feet) are no problem thanks to
its special design as well as gas and dust certification.
Power management battery
Innovative power management and lithium-ion technology of
the batteries ensure extremely long operating times of at
least 10 hours - sufficient for a full workday. Charging spare
batteries during the shift is no longer required. If the battery
is not fully charged and fails during a shift, the device can be
equipped with a spare battery in non-hazardous areas at any
time. To eliminate confusion between standard and intrinsi-
cally safe batteries, ecom has ensured by mechanical means,
that only intrinsically safe batteries can be used.
Intermec platform
The i.roc®
Ci70 -Ex is based on the successful CN70e plat-
form. For this reason the i.roc® Ci70 -Ex is fully compatible
with development tools and applications from the Intermec
Development Library and easy to integrate in an environment
of devices of the existing 70 series from Intermec.
This also has advantages
when maintaining various
PDAs as there is no need to
distinguish between the
individual devices. This allows effortless management of de-
vices.
In contrast to the CN70e, the i.roc®
Ci70 -Ex:
• is intrinsically safe
• offers various head modules for data acquisition, which
allows flexible use.
System integration
Intermec SmartSystemsTM
For seamless, intelligent integration into your workflow, func-
tions such as SmartSystemsTM
installation and ScanNGo cli-
ents are available from Intermec.
These functions can be used for configuration or installation
in advance or carried out locally, for example by scanning a
barcode to ensure usability. The devices can also be provided
with the required configuration at the customer‘s request.
Intermec SmartSystemsTM
enables easy and efficient mainte-
nance of all systems of a company by allowing administrators
to manage PDAs, including the i.roc®
Ci70 –Ex, from a web
portal and to install operating system and software updates
online. This means that the devices can remain on-site at all
times, even when the software is being updated.

flexibility
The optional WWAN module combines both mobile standards UMTS and CDMA in a single de-
vice. This also means maximum flexibility for international companies. The PDA can be used
worldwide as the built-in WWAN module supports all main wireless standards.
GSM/UMTS/CDMA/GPS
The i.roc®
Ci70 -Ex constitutes the only solution for Zone 1/21 and Class I, II, III, Division 1 that
combines all wireless networking (WWAN, WLAN and Bluetooth 2.1) in a single device. This al-
lows fast data exchange across different networks even where coverage conditions are difficult.
Depending on the user‘s location due to the on-the-fly selection function, the i.roc®
Ci70 -Ex is
able to dial into the respective networks, thus ensuring continuous network coverage.
Uniquely flexible –

ting steps help to effectively reduce downtimes.
Warehousing and logistics
The i.roc®
Ci70 -Ex uses barcodes and RFID to quickly and ac-
curately detect and identify goods in warehouses, on trucks and
in cars. The 2D Multi-Range Imager reads barcodes up to 15 m
(49 ft) away and eliminates walking unnecessary distances and
regular stooping or bending for employees. The direct data con-
nection via WLAN or WWAN keeps the ERP system continuously
up to date.
Security through
personal identification
In certain situations, it is important to locate employees. For
example, thanks to integrated GPS, injured users can be lo-
cated which allows rescue teams to reach them in hazardous
areas more quickly to provide the necessary aid.
Applications
Process reliabiltiy is essential for product quality. This can be
achieved by carrying out all processes precisely according to their
specifications. The i.roc®
Ci70 -Ex, with a direct link to an ERP sys-
tem via WLAN or UMTS, offers the ideal solution. Processes can
be supported, controlled and documented in real-time from stock
removal through to the production line and to the warehouse.
Asset Life-Cycle Management
The i.roc®
Ci70 -Ex can be used to configure, control and monitor
system components and field devices via a wireless connection.
During downtime or in the event of system errors, cancellation
or breakdown expenses can occur. The freedom of movement
and flexibility will make work easier and also improve both pro-
duction and maintenance. In summary, this ensures effective
systems management, optimal process execution and reduced
downtime.
Maintenance and
systems service
Based on an adequate round-trip software, a route is created
within the system that the field worker covers on his regular
round with the i.roc®
Ci70 -Ex. The system components (e.g.
individual valves) can be identified by means of RFID or bar-
code and checked against exact specifications. The results are
then available online or per synchronization after completion
