5. The ECOLOG Adoption Pathway
• IO1: Game scenario authoring system and collection of indicative VR
eco-responsibility learning scenarios
• IO2: Informal learning curriculum, learning material and adoption
handbook
• IO3: Web/Mobile learning portal for eco-responsible citizens
We have created a set of eco-responsibility learning scenarios (IO1),
supported via learning material (IO2), which are applied in ecology games
which can be played via the PC or mobile device (IO3).
The following slide illustrates this graphically.

15. e-Learning Platform – Home page
• After clicking the “Create my new account” button, the user will receive an
email to the email account provided. The user should confirm her/his
account by clicking the link they will get at their email. Then, the user will
be able to access the dashboard and courses, as explained in the next
slides.
16. e-Learning Platform – Home page
• In order to login, the user should click on the top menu item Log in,
presented on the right top menu.
17. User dashboard page and available courses
• The user provides username and password, and s/he is presented with
her/his dashboard page, listing also all available courses.
18. Courses’ page
• The user selects the ECOLOG course by clicking on the course title.
S/he is then redirected to the course page.
19. Specific Course page
• The course contains training
content in all 5 ecology topics
adopted in the ECOLOG project.
• Clean and Safe
Environment
• Energy Saving/Efficiency
• Tourism Inclusion
• Inclusion of people from
disadvantaged groups
• Avoidance of violence and
crime.
• One of the activity types is the
Play EcoLOG Game, which
comprises a link to the ECOLOG
Game Application.
20. Game App filtered
scenarios
Clicking on one of the Game Activities
links, the Game App opens automatically
in a new browser window and presents
the list of available Scenarios under the
specific ecology topic.
As can be seen, the list is filtered for the
specific topic.
21. Missions within a Scenario
The user can then click on one of the Scenarios and s/he will
be presented with the list of Missions under that Scenario.
The first of the two missions in the example is a VR mission
and is indicated clearly as such. This means that clicking on
the link, the VR game will open in a new window of the
browser.
22. A VR Game mission
Since we are in the Clean and Safe
Environment topic, the Park Clean-up VR
game will open. The user will need to
collect waste and put them in the correct
bin to collect points/grades.
23. Another VR Game
mission
Similarly to the other VR game, if the topic
selected was the Energy Saving and
Efficiency, the user would be presented
with the corresponding VR mission, within
a Building.
24. Physical missions and game instances
The second mission is a physical mission with location-
sensitive actions/objectives to be completed. As can be seen,
there are two already started games instantiating that
mission, which the user can JOIN.
[The Game App is a multi-player game, which allows multiple
users to join the same instantiation of a mission and compete
for the completion of the mission actions and the available
score.]
Each user receives her/his own score. Alternatively, the user
can Start a new Game, which will have again the same set of
objectives and others can join. Each game action/objective
represents a physical action that the user must do before s/he
scans the respective QR code, within the app, to claim the
completion and be awarded the points.
25. Instantiate a game mission
Starting a new game is simple, by giving it a
name and clicking on Create.
26. Instantiate a game mission
The user is now able to perform actions and
claim them using the Claim an objective
button.
The user who created the game instance, can
also Close the game and send scores, and
initiate the sending of scores to the eLearning
platform.
The closing of the game will trigger the
request back to the eLearning Platform to
update the user’s grades for the specific
Game Activity in the ECOLOG Course.
27. Grades
The points collected by the
user can be checked in the
Grade section in the
eLearning Platform.
The Grade section is
accessible from the left
menu.
The user can have separate
grades for each one of the
GameActivities available in
the course.
28. eLearning Mobile App - Login
page
The user can also access the
eLearning Platform through the
dedicated Android mobile app.
S/he will be again able to browse
through the content and play the
game, etc.
29. eLearning Mobile App –
Dashboard with courses
The user can access the course and see its content.
30. eLearning Mobile App –
Course page
The Game Activities can be accessed from here as well.
31. eLearning Mobile App –
Grades page
Finally, the user is also able to see her/his grades via the
mobile app.
32. Edit Profile
• The user can edit her/his profile by clicking the arrow next to her/his
name and clicking on the Profile button
33. Edit Profile
Then, the user should click the Edit Profile button, which will present the
following screen. The user can change and/or add general information,
user picture, additional names, interests, other optional information and
game filters (see also the section for creating an account).

48. eLearning Admin user – add activity
If the user expands the
Restrict Access
category, s/he can add
several restrictions, by
entering 1 or 0 for each
user profile. For
example, if Game Type
– Physical is set to 1, it
means that the activity
refers to a physical
presence activity.
49. eLearning Admin user – add activity
If the user clicks on one
of the course of the
previous page, s/he will
get to this page, which
provides information
related to the course.
The Edit button allows
for changes/edit in the
course.
50. eLearning Admin user – add activity

resource to keep its
settings and edit
whatever is required for
the new resource.
52. eLearning Admin user – add activity
If the user clicks on the
duplicated resource’s
edit button, s/he can
edit a number of
settings within the page
below. Note that the
activity’s ID is found
within the URL. For
example in the
following: https://eco-
responsible.training/ele
arning/course/modedit.p
hp?update=42&return=
0&sr=0, 42 denotes the
activity’s ID.
53. eLearning Admin user – add activity
If the user expands the
General category, s/he
can change the topic,
activity ID, game type,
game site, game activity
and accessibility
parameters from the
Custom Parameters text
box.
54. eLearning Admin user – add activity
The user can choose from the following options for filling in the game type, game site, game
activity and accessibility parameters.

55. eLearning Admin user – add activity
If the user expands the
Restrict Access
category, s/he can add
several restrictions, by
entering 1 or 0 for each
user profile. For
example, if Game Type
– Physical is set to 1, it
means that the activity
refers to a physical
presence activity.
56. eLearning Admin user – add activity
If the user does not duplicate
an activity, clicks on Add an
activity or Resource, s/he has
to fill in all information from

admin can add
several restrictions.
The user should click
on Add restriction.
59. eLearning Admin user – add activity
Then, a pop-up window will
come up, showing the available
restrictions. The most complex
restrictions refer to the User
profile category and the focus
in the next slides is set there.
60. eLearning Admin user – add activity
The user can start setting the
restrictions that should apply
for each student.
If the user chooses the all
option, then all restrictions
should apply for the game to
be visible by the student. For
example, if the cognitive
learning difficulties is set to 1
and the monuments is set 1,
then only games compatible
to cognitive learning
difficulties and not taking
place in monuments will
show up.
61. eLearning Admin user – add activity
If the user chooses the any
option, then not all
restrictions together should
apply for the game to be
visible by the student. For
example, if the cognitive
learning difficulties is set to 1
and the monuments is set 0,
then both games compatible
to cognitive learning
difficulties and not taking
place in monuments will
show up.
62. eLearning Admin user – add activity
If the user clicks on the
Add restriction button
and then chooses the
Restriction set, then
s/he can add a second
set of restrictions.
63. eLearning Admin user – add activity
This is how a multiple
restrictions page will look
like. Note that the user
might choose the must
not option. For example, if
the user selects the
Beach and sets it equal to
1, then only games not
compatible with the
specific game site will
show up.
