The Texas Teacher STaR Chart is a self-assessment tool that teachers must complete to evaluate their technology skills and needs. It measures skills in four key areas: teaching and learning, educator preparation and development, leadership/administration, and infrastructure. All teachers and other certified professionals working with students are required to fill out the STaR Chart if their district receives Title I or D funding. By completing the self-assessment online, teachers can receive a customized summary and set goals to improve their integration of technology in the classroom to support student achievement.

2. The purpose of the Texas Teacher STaR
Chart is to assist all classroom teachers in
assessing their personal needs and setting
professional goals for the use of
