This document provides instructions for registering for EasyBib and setting up a new project bibliography. It explains how to register from school computers to get a premium EasyBib account, or by entering a coupon code if not on a school computer. It then guides the user through creating a new project, selecting a citation style, starting a bibliography, choosing a source type to cite, viewing all source types, and getting help citing specific sources.

3. Registering from GSS school computers 2. Register and create an account with EasyBib 1. Click the register link Registering from school computers instantly gives you a premium account. This lets you save your work, and access it from anywhere! Don’t forget your password!! 3. You only need to fill in the first four boxes.

4. Using a coupon code to register with EasyBib If you are not on Garibaldi campus, or the school computers registration does not work, register with EasyBib and enter your coupon code to create a premium account. Our coupon code is garibaldi .

5. Getting started 1. This is the project management page. From here you can create, manage, and view projects. 2. Start by clicking Create a new project .

6. Creating a new project 2. Next, select the desired citation style. Juniors – pick APA . (don’t worry if you pick the wrong one, you can always change it later automatically). 1. To start your project, give it a title. 3. Then click Create.

7. Starting a bibliography 1. Your new project has been created and appears at the bottom of your list. 2. To start creating citations for this project, just click Bibliography .

8. Selecting a source type to cite Here is the bibliography start page; from here there are tabs for the most popular sources, as well as a tab for all 58 sources EasyBib supports

9. Viewing all source types Clicking on the All 58 options tab will expand a pane that provides you with links to forms that will help you cite just about any type of source you may come across

10. Source guide 1. Not sure if you’re at the correct form for your specific source? Click the Help link, which is on all 58 forms and the tab menu. 2. The source guide will give you suggestions, definitions and examples of specific source types and then re-direct you to the appropriate form.
