2. Easter is one of the most important Christian holiday in Romania. It is the
Resurrection from the dead of Jesus Christ.
During The Lent/Easter fasting, Christians don’t have to eat too much, they are
not allowed to eat meat, cheese, eggs, milk. They have to have an honest
living.
They are not allowed to tell lies or nasty words, to do unfair things, to steal,
etc.
People go to church and confess. Children go with their parents, grandparents, but
also with their teachers. They talk about the importance and the significance of this
great holiday.
4. The last Sunday in the Lent, before the Passion
Week, is Palm Sunday. People go to church and bring
home anointed willow twigs. It is good to have such twigs
from Palm Sunday at home because they are used for
healing.
