  • #6 Total cleaning budget £ 6.5 million - £1.5 million additional investment made at commencement of current contract in 2005. Introduced micro fibre cleaning technology, ride-on cleaners for long corridors, sanitizers and steamers to enhance post-outbreak cleans, deep cleans etc. Service generally acknowledged to be excellent. Cleaning services available 24/7 Compliant with national cleaning specifications - current 13-week average audit score of 98%. Very few domestic related complaints have been received since the start of the contract Comprehensive monitoring and auditing programme - by MITIE and Trust monitoring officers, Infection Control and ward staff as part of QMP Annual deep-cleaning programme for all clinical areas - at least once a year. Deep clean team also perform post-outbreak cleans so some areas are done more frequently. Almost all wards and some departments have a Ward Housekeeper in post. Lowest levels of C Difficile and MRSA infection
