Globalization has brought people from different cultures together, allowing them to share attitudes, traditions, values, and customs. This has both positive and negative effects on culture. Positively, people tend to adopt beneficial practices from other cultures, like more girls in developing countries receiving educations. However, some people believe other cultures are superior and abandon their own practices, like some Indian women wearing less traditional clothing due to Western influences. While globalization allows cultural exchange, people should not forget their own cultural identities and completely replace local customs.

Due to globalization cross culture has taken the toll. People belonging to different culture are now connected than ever. This has led to cultural diversity in all over the world. The cultural diversity is also called multiculturalism. Cultural diversity instructs us to regard, accept, value, recognize and encourage all individuals belonging from multiple cultures (Erasmus, 2019). People from different cultures view each other through a different lens. Cultural differences may be seen in; ethnicity, race, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation and Gender Orientation. These cultural differences have led to cultural biases in societies. Cultural bias is classified as a psychological condition of individuals and societies. Due to cultural bias menace like discrimination and differences arise. However, to overcome Cultural competency is the solution to remove the cultural bias from society (Abuwala, 2019). Nonetheless, due to increased integration of cultures people develop cultural bias as people view their own culture as a standard and compare the other cultures with it, considering other cultures having low values.
To study cultural biases, cultural archives serve the best purpose (Grout, 2019). Grout has explained that cultural values can be well understood if the social aspect of the cultures is kept in mind. This can be done when cultural archives from the past are drawn and different cultures are studied to get a better understanding. When the archives are explored, biases are also studied and tried to find out the reasons. It is known to everyone in the history that African and Latin American families had to face the cultural biases in the past. Now, the research shows that parents must play their part in making the children powerful psychologically. When parents will learn to teach how to prepare their children for effective cultural communication, they will be successful to make their coming generations happy, healthy and high in self-esteem. Therefore, it becomes the moral duty of the parents to understand the cultural differences first and to teach those differences positively to their children.
Cultural prejudice is turning out to be a major reason for depression and mental fatigue amongst nations (Tanaka, 2019). A person ought to subscribe to the route of the community either voluntarily or involuntarily so long as you remain part of the team. According to some philosophies, like the social contract, a person plays an important part in allowing society to function. Issues of cultural diversity in modern society shape our social practices (Tierney, 2007).
A global society provides a platform for interaction between different cultures. In the process, cultural transmission occurs. Individuals in the global society will be continuously dismembering pieces of their culture. The interaction of students in learning institutions, tend influence modern societies. For instance, students in social sciences exchange ideas during sharing of knowledge obtain in class. Each discipline, in social science, views human behavior on its own. Over time, members of from different disciplines of social science acquire a set of principles directed by their inquiries. The modern society forces individuals to change some parts or all of their culture to be in conformation with the demands of the modern society. Their social life will have to change and, hence, their behavior (Ouellett, 2011).
In learning institutions, students have had to change the way they used to handle their inquiries. The principles that students currently use are different from what they used to apply initially. Students also change the way they view various issues in the society. For instance, students from cultures that view women as inferior to men have changed their view. The issues of diversity have also affected modern society. Modern society has had to change to accommodate the needs of various cultures. For instance, modern society has adjusted to accommodate same sex marriages (Ouellett, 2011).
Transgender is one of the current social issues that related to diversity. Transgender refers to persons whose gender expression, gender identity or behavior is not by the sex assigned to them at birth. Gender identity refers to one's personal experience with their gender. Gender expression, on the other hand, refers to the ways in which individuals manifest their masculinity or femininity. Individuals who are transgender try to emulate the behavior of the opposite gender (Jost, 2006).
There are many categories of transgender, including transsexual, third gender, androgynous, gender nonconforming, multi-gendered, and two-spirit people. The transgender issue affects nearly every age group. Transgender individuals usually have low self-esteem. Often, transsexual individuals would alter their bodies through the use hormones and surgery in order their bodies congruent or near congruent with their gender identities. Individuals.

This paper investigates the effects of cultural dimensions on individuals’ leadership styles. The study focused on two main themes Culture and Leadership. Two main dimensions considered Power Distance and Individualism to show their effects on individuals’ two main leadership behaviour Democratic and Autocratic leadership styles. Considering a phenomenological approach, the responses of participants were obtained from their replies to an open ended questionnaire. Data were analysed with Hofstede’s 6D Model. Individuals are from America, Lithuania, India, Italy, and Sri Lanka. They are currently working in the UK, performing as managerial roles, shared their cultural experiences and leadership styles. The study shows individuals from India and Sri Lanka have completely changed their leadership styles due to the surveillance of different culture in the UK. The individual from Italy slightly modified her leadership style while the other two participants from America and Lithuania remain unchanged as they have similar cultural dimensions. Due to globalization cross culture has taken the toll. People belonging to different culture are now connected than ever. This has led to cultural diversity in all over the world. The cultural diversity is also called multiculturalism. Cultural diversity instructs us to regard, accept, value, recognize and encourage all individuals belonging from multiple cultures (Erasmus, 2019). People from different cultures view each other through a different lens. Cultural differences may be seen in; ethnicity, race, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation and Gender Orientation. These cultural differences have led to cultural biases in societies. Cultural bias is classified as a psychological condition of individuals and societies. Due to cultural bias menace like discrimination and differences arise. However, to overcome Cultural competency is the solution to remove the cultural bias from society (Abuwala, 2019). Nonetheless, due to increased integration of cultures people develop cultural bias as people view their own culture as a standard and compare the other cultures with it, considering other cultures having low values.
To study cultural biases, cultural archives serve the best purpose (Grout, 2019). Grout has explained that cultural values can be well understood if the social aspect of the cultures is kept in mind. This can be done when cultural archives from the past are drawn and different cultures are studied to get a better understanding. When the archives are explored, biases are also studied and tried to find out the reasons. It is known to everyone in the history that African and Latin American families had to face the cultural biases in the past. Now, the research shows that parents must play their part in making the children powerful psychologically. When parents will learn to teach how to prepare their children for effective cultural communication, they will be successful to make their coming generations happy, healthy and high in self-esteem. Therefore, it becomes the moral duty of the parents to understand the cultural differences first and to teach those differences positively to their children.
Cultural prejudice is turning out to be a major reason for depression and mental fatigue amongst nations (Tanaka, 2019). A global society provides a platform for interaction between different cultures. In the process, cultural transmission occurs. Individuals in the global society will be continuously dismembering pieces of their culture. The interaction of students in learning institutions, tend influence modern societies. For instance, students in social sciences exchange ideas during sharing of knowledge obtain in class. Each discipline, in social science, views human behavior on its own. Over time, members of from different disciplines of social science acquire a set of principles directed by their inquiries. The modern society forces individuals to change some parts or all of their culture to be in conformation with the demands of the modern society. Their social life will have to change and, hence, their behavior (Ouellett, 2011).
In learning institutions, students have had to change the way they used to handle their inquiries. The principles that students currently use are different from what they used to apply initially. Students also change the way they view various issues in the society. For instance, students from cultures that view women as inferior to men have changed their view. The issues of diversity have also affected modern society. Modern society has had to change to accommodate the needs of various cultures. For instance, modern society has adjusted to accommodate same sex marriages (Ouellett, 2011).
Transgender is one of the current social issues that related to diversity. Transgender refers to persons whose gender expression, gender identity or behavior is not by the sex assigned to them at birth. Gender identity refers to one's personal experience with their gender. Gender expression, on the other hand, refers to the ways in which individuals manifest their masculinity or femininity. Individuals who are transgender try to emulate the behavior of the opposite gender (Jost, 2006).
There are many categories of transgender, including transsexual, third gender, androgynous, gender nonconforming, multi-gendered, and two-spirit people. The transgender issue affects nearly every age group. Transgender individuals usually have low self-esteem. A diaspora undergoes cultural and economic challenges in a receiving society until a complete assimilation takes place or the collective memory of the original identity decomposes. This is a review paper on the choice of methodology adopted for studying negotiations by a diaspora of such challenges in the relevant international scholarship. Individual’s Leadership Style Changes Due to Different Culture in the UK
This paper investigates the effects of cultural dimensions on individuals’ leadership styles. The study focused on two main themes Culture and Leadership. Two main dimensions considered Power Distance and Individualism to show their effects on individuals’ two main leadership behaviour Democratic and Autocratic leadership styles. Considering a phenomenological approach, the responses of participants were obtained from their replies to an open ended questionnaire. Data were analysed with Hofstede’s 6D Model. Individuals are from America, Lithuania, India, Italy, and Sri Lanka. They are currently working in the UK, performing as managerial roles, shared their cultural experiences and leadership styles. The study shows individuals from India and Sri Lanka have completely changed their leadership styles due to the surveillance of different culture in the UK. The individual from Italy slightly modified her leadership style while the other two participants from America and Lithuania remain unchanged as they have similar cultural dimensions. For Example, it is Indian culture that women wear such clothes which cover whole body. But after coming under the influence of western culture, the Indian women have started wearing short clothes which is against the Indian culture.
