2. E-Learning can best be defined as learning that
is supported though the use of technology.
3. It can be a combination of both traditional (face
to face instruction) and online instruction.
4. E-learning has the added value of accessibility,
flexibility, and interactivity.
5. Accessibility and flexibility result in
opportunities for students to study and share
learning resources, regardless of time, space,
and place, but also mean that the specific
needs of students with various disabilities, such
as dyslexia, can be met.
6. Because e-learning is flexible, accessible and
interactive, it is quite beneficial to those who
work in the field of education.
7. Administrators, teachers and students all benefit
from e-learning. Studies have shown that
graduate students who participated in leadership
programs that supported e-learning identified
additional skills that helped them to understand
the importance of integrating technology on their
campus.-learning. Studies have shown that

8. Simulated environments and the evolving technology of virtual environments
are slowly creeping into the education space, in much the same way that
Microsoft Word and PowerPoint crept onto educators' desktop more than a
decade ago,
9. ...and in much the same way that interactive whiteboards and
mobile devices are gaining traction in classrooms today"
(Dieker 2014, p.55).
10. In addition to the benefits listed in this presentation, e-learning also provides
those who are limited by time and/or proximity a way to participate in programs
and courses that would not have been available under traditional
circumstances.
11. For many, e-learning benefits far outweigh its disadvantaged
and as the program continues to grow, more opportunities will
open up for all of those involved.
