The paper presents a novel technique for enhancing the resolution of satellite images using discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and interpolation of high-frequency subbands. It integrates an intermediate stage for estimating high-frequency components to achieve sharper images and demonstrates superiority over conventional and state-of-the-art methods through quantitative metrics and visual results. Experimental results confirm that the proposed method significantly improves image quality and edge preservation compared to techniques like bicubic interpolation and wavelet zero padding.
