WHAT ARE THE
DIFFERENT KINDS
OF COOKIES?
DROP COOKIES
ROLLED COOKIES
PRESSED OR BAGGED
COOKIES
COOKIE BAR
REFRIGERATED COOKIES
COKIEOS ROPD
An irregular and unevenly shaped.
They are made simply by dropping
the cookie batter from a teaspoon
to a baking sheet to get the
popular tongue-shaped cookies.
EXAMPLES
•Chocolate chip cookies
•Peanut butter cookies
•Oatmeal (or oatmeal
raisin) cookies
DROP
COOKIES
Identify the following statements whether
it’s True or False
•1. Drop cookies are cookies
that are formed by dropping
spoonfuls of dough onto a
baking sheet.
• 2. The dough rarely actually
“drops” on its own accord;
spoon or a finger should not
be used to push it off the
spoon.
•3. Drop cookies are less
work and less stress than
rolled cookies.
4. There are no cookie cutters, floured
work surfaces, or no rolling pins to
clean up, and there is no heartbreak at
the end comparing the shapes the
cookie cutters seem to promise you
with what came out of your oven.
CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
• The BEST Chocolate Chip Cookie
Recipe Ever!.mp4
Formula in converting degrees Centigrade to
degrees Fahrenheit and Fahrenheit to
Centigrade which is very applicable in baking.
C = F – 32 x 5 / 9
F = C x 9 / 5 + 32
C = F – 32 x 5 / 9
320 degrees Fahrenheit to degrees Centigrade
C = F – 32 x 5 / 9
= 320 – 32 X 5 / 9
= 288 X 5 / 9
= 1440 / 9
C = 160 °
Generally, cookies are baked in a
moderate oven—325 degrees F
(162 degrees C)—for 15 to 18
minutes, depending on the size of
the cookie.
1. What is drop cookie means?
2. Which is more stressful, rolled or drop
cookie?
3. What are the examples of drop cookie?
4. How long does it take for cookies to bake?
5.You want to bake a cookie but
unfortunately your oven temperature
marking is set to celsius and the recipe
only stated the temperature in
fahrenheit, what will you do in order to set
the temperature correctly?
Why do we need to bake drop cookie?
• Aside from getting income in baking drop cookies through
selling, Drop cookies are also the easiest and most
basic cookies you can make. Drop cookies are less work and
less stress than rolled cookies. There are no cookie cutters,
floured work surfaces, or no rolling pins to clean up, and there
is no heartbreak at the end comparing the shapes the cookie
cutters seem to promise you with what came out of your
oven. Drop cookies always look very homemade.

( Chocolate chip cookies )
RECIPE
Ingredients :
• 115 g / ½ cup unsalted butter
• ½ cup brown sugar
• ½ cup granulated sugar
• 1 whole egg
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
• 1 tbsp cornstarch
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp iodized salt
• 1 ½ cup chocolate chips
•
Directions :
• 1. Cream the butter with the brown sugar and
granulated sugar together well. Beat in the egg
and the vanilla.
• 2. In a separate bowl, sift the flour with the
cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Add this to
the butter mixture and stir until blended. Stir in
the chocolate chips and pecans (if using).
• 3. Using a small ice cream scoop or a
tablespoon, scoop spoonfuls of dough (about 2
Tbsp) shape them into a ball and place onto a
parchment lined baking tray or a plate. Chill
the scooped cookies for at least an hour, or
once chilled, the cookies can be frozen for
baking later.
• 4. Preheat the oven to 325ºF (162 C). Arrange the
chilled scooped cookies onto parchment-lined baking
trays, leaving 3 inches between the cookies. Bake for
15-18 minutes, until browned around the edges. Cool
the cookies on the baking tray. If baking cookie dough
that has been frozen, arrange the frozen cookies on the
baking tray and let them thaw for 20 minutes at room
temperature before baking as above.
Let cool slightly and enjoy.
