George Argyros Jr. is involved with several charitable organizations including the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF) which has raised over $36 million since 1982 to fund childhood cancer research. One of the PCRF's fundraising programs is Dribble for the Cure which involves university basketball programs helping in the fight against cancer. For example, the University of California, Los Angeles hosts an annual Dribble for the Cure contest that raises money for research at PCRF and Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA. In 2013, the UCLA event raised over $155,000 for pediatric cancer research by having participants dribble a basketball through campus and meet UCLA basketball players while receiving prizes for pledges secured.
