Created in 1887, AICPA has an extensive tradition of advocating for
the demands of CPAs through public interest groups and legislative
bodies. It also serves to provide opportunities for aspiring CPAs, and
one of the many ways it does so is through scholarships.
AICPA's most valuable scholarship is the Fellowship for Minority
Doctoral Students, which was created to promote the advancement
of minority students seeking a career in the field.
3. Scholarships

scholars with $12,000 fellowships to pursue advanced education
opportunities. Students applying for the fellowship must be African

scholarship exists for undergraduate minority students who plan to
become CPAs.
Additionally, the AICPA John L. Carey Scholarship Award is available
to all liberal arts students who plan to pursue accounting and CPA
designation in graduate school, while the AICPA/Accountemps
Student Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate-
and graduate-level accounting majors. The two scholarships are
valued at $5,000 and $10,000, respectively.
